Updates on Everyone

Thank you all for your prayers. My dad was released from the hospital on Saturday. They didn't find anything wrong with his heart. He is on blood pressure medication, but that's it. They are assuming his problems are stress related and who can blame him!!!

My Grandma is being released from the hospital today and is going into a nursing home. It is sad to think that she won't ever be going home, but this is where she needs to be. She can no longer care for herself. My dad gave it a valiant effort, but it was just too much for him.

Adoption news...

We were told today that our file should be released from Family Court on Friday and we received our I171H today...which are both good news!!!

We are going to visit our sweet girl in 9 days!!!! Please pray for our safety!!! Here are a few cute pics of our girls...Baby Sister #1...and Baby Sister #2!

Another Prayer Request

Ok...I know I promised pictures, but once again, yesterday was a CRAZY day!!! My grandma is still in the hospital, there was a horrible storm...with tornadoes involved that lasted about 1 1/2 and the worst is my dad went to emergency yesterday because he thought he was having a heart attack.

UGH....he's still there in observation because his enzymes were elevated and they want to do a stress test. This is my dad...the only child that has been taking care of my grandma...do you think he's stressed??? :) I know it's a test for his heart, but I can tell you every inch of his body is stressed!!! Please pray that it is just from stress and there isn't anything major wrong. If there is something wrong...please pray that it can be easily fixed.

Wow...I can't believe I've been such a loser and haven't updated my blog in a LONG time!!! I apologize to those of you that care!!!! :)

It has been a pretty crazy week and a half around here...between working on these crazy fundraisers...our sewer overflowing in our basement...our roof leaking...trying to get things sold on ebay to make money to pay for the sewer overflowing and the new roof we now need...my Grandma not doing well and needing 24 hour care at home...

Whew...it has been mentally exhausting!!!

My Grandma just had a really bad spell today with not being able to breathe...so she was rushed to the ER...they are admitting her and after that we will have to put her in a nursing home. We have tried for the last 2 weeks to take care of her at home and my dad has done an AWESOME job, but it has just gotten to be too much on all of us. So if you could say a little prayer for her and for my dad (an only child) who feels very guilty about all of this...I would appreciate it!!!

Ok...enough rambling about things that aren't very exciting...some good news...

We are going to visit in exactly two weeks from tomorrow!!! In 15 days I will be holding our baby girl!!!!! I can't wait!!!!!!!

I know most of you don't care about the happenings of life...you just want pictures...so I solemnly swear...pictures tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Baby Sister #2...who really needs a name...is 3 months old!!!

Our agency director was in Guatemala last week and took these sweet pictures for us. I can't believe how big she is getting!!!!! She is a miniature Hannah, with a rounder face. I can't wait to kiss her chubby cheeks!!!! We leave in less than a month for our visit trip!!!! YAHOOOOO!!!

Have you ever had such an AMAZING friend that you just wanted to SHOUT it from the rooftop??? Well...I do. Through our adoptions from Guatemala, God brought us together. We only met once, in Guatemala for brunch, but I'm hoping we'll be friends for life! She is an amazingly funny, kind, compassionate, godly woman that I am so blessed to have as a friend!

Thank you Katie for what you have done for our family!!!! I truly will never be able to thank you enough, but I pray that God blesses you for being so SWEET to us!!!!!

Updated Pictures of Baby Sister #2!!!

Nidia is 2 months, 21 days old in these pictures. They are the sweetest!!!!! I love that she is all dressed up with her frilly socks and matching hair clip. These really confirm that she is being well taken care of and that she is well loved.

I also LOVE that she looks so much like our sweet Hannah!!!!! I can't wait to watch these two sisters grow up together!!!!!!!!!!!! What a blessing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
